A Yaozhou Carved and Combed Celadon 'Lotus' Bowl

The thickly potted bowl deeply and loosely carved to the interior with combed leaves and a central lotus flower, under an olive-green glaze, a single incised line below the rim, the exterior very neatly carved with a design of multi-layered lotus-leaf panels set between a simple undecorated glazed band at the foot and rim, the concave base glazed, the wide foot ring unglazed.
